Dress Code

On the streets of Seoul, people love to dress up like mascots. They seem to be everywhere. I for one, don't like to stand out in a crowd. Therefore I too dress in a mascot outfit when I'm there. That is me in the green one in the upper left. It cost me a pretty penny but I don't care. I'll go to any lengths to fit in.

Home Away from Home

Since December I have spent about 5 weeks in Seoul, Korea. I always stay at the Grand Hyatt. Love that joint. There is a grand lobby with a beautiful bar overlooking the entire city of Seoul. It sits in front of 30 foot windows. Very impressive. I'm not much of a fancy boy but I do feel right at home there. Barack Obama stays there when he's in Seoul. In fact as I am writing this, Jimmy Carter is staying in the hotel. There are a lot of secret service dudes at the breakfast area. They all have their earpieces in and eyeball me suspiciously. I don't blame them because I am quite ratty looking. It's fun to go to a fancy hotel and have everyone know you. Just like President Carter, I feel like a celebrity when I'm there.

The Brooklyn Circus

The Brooklyn Circus is a great store in Brooklyn. Obviously it's in Brooklyn. It's a groovy men's clothing shop. Maybe the grooviest ever. They have a nice blog and did a little posting about me. You can read it here. I would love to collaborate with the owner Ouigi on some stuff for him. I love his style and asthetic.

Yun and I live in a very religious neighborhood. Italian. I have never seen so many statues on tiny lawns in my entire life. So I just had to make a little film. Enjoy.

Middlecrown

Her majesty's a pretty nice girl, someday I'm gonna make her mine. Looks like Kate Middlecrown has taken the title. She is holding the lottery ticket. Out of all the girls in the world, she's the last man standing. Way to go. In my mind, I wonder how long it will be before she cracks under the pressure? How long before she is running through the streets naked or drinking nail polish remover? When will she want out of the gig? Might take a few years but we all know it's going to happen. Too bad, little Willy seems like an OK bloke. I predict in 4 years he comes out of the closet. Won't be much of a surprise to anyone though. Maybe the queen will be retired by that time. Then William can become the Queen.

Poor old Liz. She had a good run. Yun had read a few books about her and really liked the girl. Hell of an actress. Some genius films. What I liked about her was that she seemed like a real broad. The New York Times ran an article when she passed about how she liked to go to a certain gay bar in LA once a week. It's called the Abbey. Liz would hang in the wheelchair and do shots of tequila and drink martinis. She would bring her dog and basically hang with the locals. You gotta love when a megastar is not above hanging with the people.

There is a new writer in my office. She is from Australia. I told her I had done some drawings when I visited her city, Sydney. When I looked for them on my old blog posts, I realized I had never put them on. I did them before I started blogging. So here are a few choice ones.
